A game much like runescape... but in the world I created: J'drakon.
There will be other things besides combat to satisfy players who are tired of doing the same mindless killing over and over again. There is a clear division between skills and abilities attributes etc...
as far as classes go, you can be a wide variety of classes by meeting requirements given. Each class is given a rank (1 through 4, 4 being the best), and in order to upgrade from a rank one (example: warrior) you would need to get some skills up to upgrade. (example: strength up to level ( - ) to become a knight) There is also multi-classing, in which when you fuse to ranks together you can become even greater things. However it doesn't mean you will become stronger... but still.
Abilities:
Strength
Agility
Vitality
Mindfulness
(Four abilities, each pertaining to key skills you will use throughout the game, strength is your power, your damage with physical weapons and half of your stamina. Agility is your speed, your evasion and half of your accuracy. Vitality is your health, and your magic power- it is part of your stamina. Mindfulness is your ability to perceive and learn, to cast spells, and it helps with evasion and accuracy as well.)
Skills: (These you will use to complete quests, enter certain areas or become new classes)
Combat: The more your fight, the better.
Survival: How to live in the wilderness
Hunting: Making traps, or just shoot em, but catching your prey
Exploring: The more you explore new areas, the wiser you become
Stamina: Swim, climb, jump and run longer
Smithing: mining forging and creating armors and weapons.
Pioneering: wood cutting, cooking and fishing all in a bundle
Arcana: Power up your magic
Divinity: power up your divine spells-
Necromancy: power up your evil side.
(More may be added)
*Note that every level you are given 5 ability points to be placed into any one of your stats. (In the beginning everyone starts out with 5 in each stat.) As for skill points, each starts at level 1/1 and if you want to increase it to a higher level you must train it on your own time. (Combat goes up by fighting, and so on and so forth).
-Combative spells can split the XP between combat and arcana/divine/necromancy if the player so chooses.
Rank one jobs: (chosen at the start of the game when you create your character. If you don't like your first pick you can change it by speaking to certain NPCs)
Warrior - obviously the free lance fighter...favors the physical weapon, and can either be a defensive fighter or an attacking fighter.
Archer - wielders of the bow, for no other weapon suits the archer better (Except for a crossbow here and there)...
Mage - the power of arcane magic at your finger tips...
Cleric/priest - holders of the divine magic that protects heals... and smites.
Pagon - holders of the nature arts, holders of the staff...
Shaman - wielders of dark magics kept secret by ancient kings
